WildLife Racing Biography
Born in 1970 in Cheyenne Wyoming, I grew up watching my dad run race cars in the tri-state area.  As soon as I turned 16, I began lobbying for a car of my own.  In 1988 my wishes were granted and I rolled onto the scene in a 1985 Firebird on a Dillon Chassis.  The beginning was pretty rough but by mid season we were finishing consistently.  The rookie season garnered a 5th place in points and a Rookie of The Year title at Big Country Speedway.

In 1989, Colorado National Speedway in Erie CO was changed over from a 1/2 mile dirt track to a 3/8 mile asphalt track.  The Stewart Racing team packed up and headed south each weekend to play at the new facility.  We certainly were not the fastest but what a blast!  In 1990, my Late Model driving days were over as a blown engine and a destroyed chassis ended the season.

Fast forward to 2003 .......  Married with two boys and the itch to race was still needing some scratching.  My wife agreed to let me race Legend Race cars and also agreed to let our oldest son Jason climb into a Quarter Midget.  WildLife Racing was born!  The season was pretty tough as we were trying to learn how to work on Race Cars.  The racing gods smiled on us long enough to garner a Rookie of The Year title at Colorado National Speedway.  Since then, we have been a consistent top five race car and picked up a few wins and fast times along the way.

Jason, born in 1992, has enjoyed racing Quarter Midgets in Senior Honda, Heavy Honda, Light 160 and Heavy 160.  In 2006, he won his first track championship in Heavy Honda at RMQMA's track at IMI.  In the off-season, he is a good student at Ralston Valley High School and competes with the Boys Swim Team.  This season will be his third in Legends race cars.

Darrell J. "L'il Darrell", born in 1999 starting turning the wheel in 2004 in a Quarter Midget.  He will be competing in the Senior Honda and Light 160 classes in 2010.  In the off-season he is a good student at Sierra Elementary and enjoys playing basketball in the recreation leagues in the area.
